Is your website Mobile Ready?

Mobile web browsing is on the increase and this graphic below tells you the amount of Smart Phone users that use their phones to access local businesses – almost HALF local searches are conducted via a mobile device.  That’s HALF your online customers.

Check out the mobile statistics graphic below and then read on and test your site’s mobile readiness…

Make a Mobile Ready Website… and keep your customers happy!

Making sure your website is mobile enabled and mobile ready should be a genuine concern for small businesses. Mobile phone users are becoming increasingly more irate when they access websites that are not mobile ready. If your business has a website, you should also take into consideration the fact that for the last 4 years or so your customers have changed the way they surf and access your content. A traditional web page can look terrible on a mobile phone, it can take ages to load and when it does it is completely unreadable due to the tiny font sizes and slow loading images.

Mobile Users Expectations

When this occurs many readers/clients will simply leave a site and search for the next one that gave them the information they were searching for.

Google now offers you the chance to view your website site in their GOMO test page

Google states on their site that 60% of smartphone users expect a mobile ready site when surfing and over half of users wouldn’t recommend a business with a bad mobile site. The fact is, if you don’t do something about it, you will have to as by 2015 where it is estimated that there are going to be more people surfing the web from hand-held devices like tablets and mobile phones than desktops. And why not? Most of the people I personally know use the internet for Facebook, shopping and emails. And they always have their phone with them, 24 hours a day.
